Are you able to access any secure websites at all? Please try accessing the link below:

https://login.live.com

If you are unable to access that website, please take the following steps

For Internet Explorer:

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, click ‘Delete’.
  4. Click the button near the bottom which says ‘Delete All’ then click ‘Yes’ to confirm.
  5. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab
  6. Scroll down the list of options and make sure the following options are selected: Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0
  7. Click Ok, then close and reopen Internet Explorer and try to access the site again.
  8. If the above options were already selected, click the “Reset” button. This restores IE to its default settings, but should be used as a last resort.

For Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click Firefox Button/ Tools
  2. Click Options
  3. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab
  4. Click on Encryption (Tabs below)
  5. Check the boxes for SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0
  6. Click Ok, then close and reopen Mozilla Firefox and try to access the site again.

For Opera:

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click ‘Preferences’
  3. Click ‘Security’ in the left pane.
  4. In the right pane, click the button labelled ‘Security Protocols’
  5. On the applet which opens, check the boxes next to ‘Enable SSL 3’ and ‘Enable TLS 1’ and click ‘OK’
  6. Click ‘Ok’ again to close the ‘Preferences’ window. Close and re-open Opera and try to access the site again.

If you have taken these steps and are still unable to access the intranet, check with your systems administrator; you may be behind a firewall or proxy server which does not allow secure sites. Alternatively, you may send us an email.
